About Us
The Iowa Falls Sewing Machine Company is a full-service quilt store featuring the latest fabrics, patterns, notions, gifts, machines, and classes for quilters of every style and stage. Whether your passion is embroidery, clothing, or quilts, our staff is here to support you on your crafting journey.
Owned and operated by Duane and Stephanie Fournier since 2021, this husband-and-wife team purchased the store to preserve its small-town charm while elevating the customer experience. Together with a growing staff, they work hard to uphold the quality service that has defined the Iowa Falls Sewing Machine Company for nearly 75 years.
Duane, an electrical engineer by training, is a certified Bernina Service Technician. He brings engineering precision to the company’s legacy of detailed repairs, maintenance, and cleaning services on machines of all makes and models. Stephanie and Duane’s brother, Curtis, serve as business advisors, drawing on their experience from operating our sister store, It’s Sew Tempting in Story City, Iowa.
Precision Service: With an engineering background, Duane ensures every machine—from vintage heirlooms to the latest BERNINA Q-Series—is serviced with technical exactness and care.
