About Us

The Iowa Falls Sewing Machine Company is a full service quilt store featuring the latest fabrics, patterns, notions, gifts, machines, and classes for quilters of every style and stage. Whether your fancy is embroidery, clothing, or quilts - our staff is here to help you on your crafting journey!

Owned and operated by Duane and Stephanie Fournier since 2021, this husband-and-wife duo purchased the store with the hope to maintain the unique charm of this small town gem while elevating our customers' experience. Alongside our growing staff, the pair have worked hard to uphold the quality service showcased by the Iowa Falls Sewing Machine Company's rich nearly 75-year history.

Duane, an electrical engineer by trade, is a certified Bernina Service Technician and has been repairing sewing machines for years. He proudly continues the Iowa Falls Sewing Machine Company legacy of providing detail-oriented repairs, maintenance, and cleaning services on machines of all makes and models. Stephanie and Duane's brother, Curtis, serve as business advisors, drawing upon experience from operating the quilt store, It's Sew Tempting, in Story City, IA.

Duane and Stephanie have begun renovations on the historic storefront with the goal to offer more for our customers! We are currently expanding the store to include a classroom, longarm rental service, office for machine service and repairs, and a larger retail area with more fabric, accessories, and a greater selection of Bernina sewing machines.
